YouTube Shorts
Full support for Shorts. Transcript Generator extracts captions (auto-generated within 24-48 hours). Thumbnail Downloader gets all sizes. Comment Extractor works the same as regular videos. Summarizer works if Shorts have captions.
YouTube Playlists
Transcript Generator supports batch extraction from playlists. Paste playlist URL to extract transcripts from all videos (up to 50). Download all as organized ZIP file. Other tools work with individual videos from playlists.
YouTube Channels
Channel Analytics tool provides full channel analysis: subscriber counts, video stats, growth trends, engagement metrics. Works with any public channel using @handle or channel ID URL.
Unlisted Videos
All tools work with unlisted videos if you have the link. Unlisted videos are not indexed but remain accessible with direct URL. Same functionality as public videos.

Requires: Video must have captions (CC button visible in player). Supports: Auto-generated and manual captions, 100+ languages, all subtitle formats (SRT, VTT, TXT, JSON3, TTML).
Video Summarizer
Requires: Video must have captions (for transcript extraction), Gemini API key. Supports: Videos of any length, 50+ output languages, clickable timestamps.
Thumbnail Downloader
Requires: Public or unlisted video. No caption requirement. Supports: All thumbnail sizes (maxresdefault up to 1280×720, plus smaller sizes). Works with any video.
Subtitle Downloader
Requires: Video must have captions. No API key needed. Supports: SRT format download, multiple languages, one-click or right-click options.
Comment Extractor
Requires: Video must have comments enabled. Supports: Top/newest sorting, search, sentiment filters, giveaway picker, JSON/CSV export.
Channel Analytics
Requires: Public channel. Supports: @handle and channel ID URLs, subscriber/video counts, growth trends, engagement metrics.
3Not Currently Supported
Private Videos
Videos set to "Private" require sign-in and cannot be accessed by our tools. The video owner must change visibility to "Public" or "Unlisted".
Age-Restricted Videos
Videos with age restrictions may have limited functionality. Captions/comments may not be accessible. Thumbnails usually work.
Paid/Member-Only Content
YouTube Premium movies, channel memberships, and paid content cannot be accessed. These require YouTube authentication.
Other Platforms
Currently only YouTube is supported. Vimeo, TikTok, and other platforms are on our roadmap for future releases.
Videos Without Captions
Transcript Generator and Summarizer require captions. About 95% of YouTube videos have auto-captions. Very new videos may need 24-48 hours for auto-captions to generate.

Chrome Extensions
Work on Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Opera, and all Chromium-based browsers. Require Developer Mode for installation. Firefox support planned for future.
Mobile Support
Online tools work on mobile. Chrome extensions are desktop-only (Chrome mobile doesn't support extensions). Use online Transcript Generator on mobile for similar functionality.
